The Humane Society believes that encouraging owners to spay and neuter their pets is one of the most important obligations. Millions of unwanted puppies and kittens die each year in the United States from starvation, disease, neglect euthanasia, abandonment or intentional automobile accidents.
In order to encourage spaying and neutering, the Humane Society of Lake County will provide a certificate to spay or neuter your pet at a reduced rate. The fees are as follows:
For further information on this program, please contact the Humane Society of Lake County at 352.589.7400
These fees are not a donation to the Humane Society. Your chosen veterinarian sends us a bill for the amount of your surgery and we send them in return, the monies you have paid at the reduced rate. (Which stated that you could not otherwise afford the full cost of the surgery without this certificate.)
Many of the veterinarians of Lake County have agreed to provide these low cost spays/neuters for families who need financial assistance. THESE PRICES ARE NOT NEGOTIABLE.
